Follow Friday: The music edition

Well, we're back to our regularly scheduled programming after yesterday's blog post about the business that never will be. Before I get to it, I just want to say thank you to all of you who read the post and reached out. Your phone calls, comments and emails were so overwhelming -- in the best way possible. I'm so grateful for the beautiful people I have in my life. You all rock. Speaking of rock, I wanted to put together a little round-up of music I'm diggin' these days and call it my #FollowFriday post for the week.

So that's what I'm going to do.

And you're gonna like it.

If you know me, you know that I've been a wee bit obsessed with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals since I first learned of their amazingness just over a year ago. Here's a clip from Bonnaroo last year (Yes, it's 10 minutes....of awesome. Just watch it):

I didn't see them at Bonnaroo, but thanks to my dear friend April, I did get to see them at the Harmony Festival last year in Santa Rosa. It was phenomenal. You can check out pictures here. If you like what you see/hear, be sure to follow them here and here. Their new album comes out soon and their tour is kicking off any day now. How do I know this? Because I follow them...just like a good groupie should. Won't you join me?

We'll tone it down with the next video as it is decidedly less rock & roll-inspired. I just learned of Jack & White several weeks ago when they played a show here in Sacramento. I couldn't make it to the show (huge bummer), but I'm still really liking their sound:

What do you think? Apparently she was on American Idol at some point and he's from the Sacramento area! You can follow them here and here, if you're diggin' it. Here's hoping they'll be back in the area soon.

I'll be honest, I didn't know about The Civil Wars until the Grammy Awards rolled around and they opened for/introduced Taylor Swift (Won't lie: not a huge fan). I kept thinking, "why do I not know more about these two?" Well, they've got my attention. Here's an official video of one of the songs off their recent album:

Follow them here and here as they take over the world. Yup. They're that good.

Happy Friday, all!

Sharing is caring! If you liked reading this post as much as I liked creating it, please share it with your friends. It would mean so much!
